Why do DJ Prices Vary?
Every wedding, corporate event, holiday party and brand activation is unique. That’s why I give a price range up front to see if I fit within your budget. Then after an initial consultation, I'll email an exact quote. No surprises!
The number of guests can vary widely which can affect the number of speakers for consistent audio quality along with setup and tear down time. The hours of performance time can vary dramatically from one event to another. Some events require significant preparation before the event. Ultimately, you are paying for the results I will deliver for you on your special day.
My overall goal is to create an atmosphere you love and a celebration your guests rave about. I want to make sure you’re getting exactly what you need without charging extra for things you don’t want.
How Do I Get an Exact Quote?
The fastest way to get an accurate price quote is to fill out the contact form at the bottom of this page and schedule an initial consultation. I'll send you a link to my calendar to find a convenient time. The initial consultation can be a phone call, video chat or in-person meeting.
During the consultation, I’ll ask deeper questions to make sure I fully understand your vibe and vision. I'll ask basic questions like, "How many guests are you expecting?" I'll also ask open-ended questions like, "How do you want your guests to feel when they are driving home afterwards?" These are designed to help me understand the type of experience we will create and the results that matter most to you.

What are your payment terms?
50% Deposit & Sign Agreement to Book
There are two total payments. All I need from you to get started is a 50% deposit. This is a non-refundable retainer fee. The retainer holds your date and is taken out of the final balance. The second and final payment is due 30 days before the event date. Once you tell me you want to book me, I’ll send an agreement to sign and an invoice with the exact payment amounts and due dates so there is no confusion.
I make it as easy as possible to pay by accepting cash, check, debit, credit, Venmo, PayPal and direct bank transfers.
Less Than 30 Days Till Event?
If you’d like to book me less than 30 days from your event, the full balance will be due in order to officially book my services.
What if something happens to my DJ?
You’ve Got My Word
Integrity is one of my core values. When I say I’ll be at your wedding, I will be there.
In case of an emergency, I have a backup plan to ensure you have a professional DJ even if I’m in the hospital. I’ve spent the last several years building relationships with other Treasure Valley DJs. If you book me, you can be confident knowing I’m accepting full responsibility for the entertainment at your event.
If I’m unexpectedly on my death bed, I’ll still make sure you have a pro DJ to keep the party going. And then I’ll meet you on the dance floor in ghost form.
What's your most popular add-on?
Up-lights are my most popular add-on by far. During the reception, they can transform blank walls into a glowing wonderland. We can bathe the room in your wedding colors throughout the reception. Then when it’s time to dance, we can program them to flash to the beat of the music elevating the party to nightclub status.
When should I book my DJ?
Book as Soon as You Choose a Venue
Once you pick a venue, your DJ is the next step! Prime dates like Saturdays in June-October book up to two years in advance. Monday-Thursday events don’t usually book up until a few months in advance. Waiting longer than you need to is a gamble and I’m not really a gambling man.
Summer Weekends Book First!
Late spring, summer and early fall weekends are my most popular dates and they fill up quickly.
Last Minute Planning
If you’re scrambling to find someone last minute, please still reach out! I don’t recommend this, but I helped pull off an incredible wedding recently with less than 24 hours notice. So it’s definitely possible, but please plan ahead! If I’m already booked, I’ll refer you to another great Boise area DJ.
Can I meet my DJ before my wedding?

I also do final consultations in-person. Once you book, we can schedule a time to meet up to talk through all the final details of the wedding.
